I know I only have 2 cats (and one is technically B's, not mine), but I think I have great potential to grow up to be a crazy cat lady.
Exhibit A. If you were a fly on the wall at my house last night, you might have heard something like this.
Me: Hi, the Bus! How was your day?
The Bus: nothing
Me: Oh that sounds nice. I'm glad you didn't puke on the rug again like you did this morning. Are you feeling better?
The Bus: nothing
Me: Where's Analog? Is she in the basement?
The Bus: nothing
Me: Oh Analog, there you are! Did you have a good day?
Analog: nothing
Me: What do you guys think of the new fireplace?
Kitties: nothing
Me: I really like it. I think it looks nice. I kinda wish the molding wasn't there because it makes a crack between the fireplace and the wall, but I think I can live with it. I don't think it would be a good idea to saw into the molding, do you?
Kitties: still nothing
Me: What should we make for dinner? Pasta with broccoli? That sounds good. Do you want a drink out of the bathtub?
Kitties: follow me into the bathroom and take turns drinking out of the tub, still saying nothing. Etc, etc, etc...
This is a pretty typical day in our house when I get home before B, which is roughly 5 out of 7 days of the week. They may not be great conversationalists, but they sure are cute!

I talk to my little kitty K.C. all the time too. Worse yet, I even sing little silly songs that I make up about her. They mostly revolve around the theme that she is the best cat in the world. Yup, Crazy Cat Lady!! LOL
ReplyDeleteI sing to the Bus too! And I make Analog dance with me!!
