The Bus in the WILD!

It started off innocently enough. I thought The Bus would like to sit outside and enjoy the sunshine, but since he was declawed before I adopted him and I've heard lots of horror stories about what can happen to outdoor kitties, I decide to build him a screened in porch.

The porch doesn't have a cat door yet, so I had to carry him in and out, which he hates. And which is also very tricky when The Bus and Analog both want to go out. She's faster and more skittish so I thought I could pick her up and then herd The Bus into the porch. It worked for awhile. He played along. He even went so far as to amble directly from the back door to the porch door leading me to believe I had "trained" him. Sneaky Bus.

Then slowly but surely, he started to go a little further than the porch door. He'd roll in the driveway for awhile first, or chew on a bit of grass right outside the porch. It made him so happy! Now we've devolved into this--

Oh The Bus.

EZ thinks The Bus thinks he's a cow. He eats a lot of grass. Unfortunately, he doesn't have a cow's digestive system which means lots of undigested grass for me to clean up. Maybe he thinks he's a bulimic cow...

  1. I've made the same mistake with my cats in the past. Soon The Bus will be yeowling at the door to go outside. Look on the bright side, you won't have to mow your lawn with him eating all that grass, right?
